The 600-Day Adventure: From the Equator to the Poles
Not a tourist checklist of Taiwan, but a Taiwanese point of view moving through the world—documenting how nations see Taiwan and how Taiwanese people live, work and take root across borders.
Yoona Chu|Founder · International Documentary Director
“What deserves to be documented is not only the view, but the choices people make as the world changes.”
— Yoona Chu
The brand began with a Taiwanese passport. A 600-day journey transformed Yoona from a travel creator into an international documentary director. Across 7 continents, 51 countries and 136 cities, she moved from polar landscapes and cultural encounters to institutions including United Nations headquarters and the European Parliament.
Her camera does not avoid uncertainty. Cancelled flights in Iceland, a paragliding accident near Mont Blanc, hospitalization in Brazil, a late-night threat in Luxembourg, and filming restrictions inside international institutions all became ways to examine reality, systems and human response.
The 600-Day Adventure: From the Equator to the Poles is not a destination checklist or a collection of familiar Taiwan symbols. It asks how Taiwan connects with the world, how other societies understand Taiwan, and how Taiwanese people live, work and build lives abroad.
Personal action, public affairs and cross-cultural observation become one continuing documentary narrative—bringing the world closer to Taiwanese audiences and a clear Taiwanese point of view to global partners.

International documentary director, creator, producer and founder of YOONA CHU GLOBAL COMPANY.
Yoona's background spans journalism, corporate public relations and global content. She previously worked as a financial, food and travel journalist, and later in corporate communications and spokesperson roles. That range gives her an instinct for editorial judgment, brand strategy and the responsibility of storytelling on both sides of the camera.
Her work explores international travel, culture, systems and people. The frame holds both the scale of the world and the vulnerability, risk and choice found on the ground. She believes documentary succeeds not only when audiences see, but when they leave more willing to understand.
